"The Wilderness between Redemption and Rest" In Christ Alone Sermon Series from Hebrews #12
Show Notes

In John 10:10 Jesus declares that He came that we might have life and life more abundantly (Full); and while most Christians are excited about the "new life" that comes from being redeemed and forgiven, they never move into the "abundance" that Christ offers. In Hebrews 4, the writer uses the idea of "rest" to explain the joy, peace, contentment, blessings and spiritual power that comes from "experiencing and living the abundant life" that Jesus promises. He also uses the wilderness wanderings of the faithless Israelites who never got to experience the "rest" of the promise land to those Christ followers who never move beyond redemption and miss out on the greatest aspect of being a Christian in this life. Join us as we examine why so many Christians are missing out on this "rest" and the role faith plays in the process. From Hebrews 4:1-11.
