While Americans gather this weekend to celebrate our Independence and Freedoms; churches on Sunday will be full of people singing and celebrating their spiritual freedoms, yet many remain in bondage. In Galatians 5, Paul reminds us that until we experience true spiritual freedom and understand what we have been set free from, we will struggle to walk out those freedoms. For many Christ followers, we simply exchange one bondage for another and never really understand how free we are; free to offer ourselves in worship, free to love our neighbors, free to honor God in our lifestyles, free to share our freedoms with others. When you have really been set free, it is not enough just to gather once a week and sing a few songs about it - we must LIVE it.
