Show Notes

Jesus warns us that others will know we are his disciples by the way we love each other. John warns over fifteen times in his first letter that if we claim to be a follower of Jesus and yet do not love our brother, we are a liar and the truth is not in us. The New Testament is clear that Christians have the capability and are commanded to love. In our study of 1st Corinthians, we find ourselves in Chapter 13, where the Apostle Paul warns the early church that this "love command" must start inside of the church and loving other Christians, then flow out to all other relationships we are involved in. But what does this type of love look like? How do we define it and practice it? Could what we have been calling "love" not be the type of love we are commanded to give? Join us as we examine what true, biblical, self-sacrificing, unconditional "Agape" love looks like and how it must be practiced. From 1st Corinthians 13:4-8
